Recent Activities & Community Service

The children at the Child & Family Center recently received a visit from our local fire company in recognition of October as Fire Safety Awareness month.  The children are learning the importance of fire safety and who in their community can help in time of need.

The Child & Family Center also feels it is important to teach the children about helping others.  To aid in teaching this concept, the Center participates in various fundraising opportunities that support the wider community.

Our Preschool B classroom recently held a Trike-a-thon which raised $565.25 to aid in the support of research at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Preschool A participated in a Hop-a-thon to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  This classroom raised almost $200.

Even our toddlers are getting a taste of the activities.  On October 29, they held a “Mini March” which raised $70 to support Cystic Fibrosis.
