Class of 1957 Reunion Gift Exceeds $500,000
During Alumni Days 2007, it was with great pride that the Class of 1957 presented their 50th Reunion Gift in the amount of $525,700.   Shippensburg University is fortunate to have a long history of alumni support.  One of the most special ways that alumni support their alma mater is through reunion giving.  Alumni celebrating a 50th

reunion have traditionally given at higher levels during their reunion timeframe to

recognize the influence that Shippensburg has had on their lives.
Symbolizing an especially momentous milestone, the Class of 1957 made a concentrated effort to commemorate their 50th with a significant gift to the Shippensburg University Foundation for the benefit of Shippensburg University. For their reunion gift, the class of 1957 chose to designate their contributions to the “Navigating into the Future” Comprehensive Campaign.
This significant total represents cash gifts totaling $209,200, with many of those gifts already used over the last seven years to support numerous projects of the “Navigating Into the Future” Campaign such as the Luhrs Performing Arts Center, scholarships, the Unrestricted and Restricted Annual Fund, the Kresge Science Initiative, Technology for Instruction, to name a few.

This total also includes $316,500 in planned gifts, such as gifts through wills, trusts, insurance policies and retirement accounts that have been made by members of the class that will support the University in the future.  For more information on the various ways that you too can help to make a difference at Shippensburg University, please see Ways to Make a Gift.
