Yes, gifts of cash are generally the easiest to make to SU Foundation .  They are also effective because they can immediately be used for a range of current needs or donor designated purposes at the University.  If you itemize your tax deductions, gifts of cash can serve to eliminate tax on up to 50% of your adjusted gross income ( AGI ).  Gifts are deductible to the extent provided by federal and state tax laws.
