What is the Raiders Club?

Shippensburg University and the Shippensburg University Foundation are dedicated to the belief that a challenging educational program, combined with the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate athletics, is a very effective preparation for a life of learning as well as success in any profession.

The athletic teams of SU have always maintained a high standard of excellence.  Through their determination and athletic prowess, they have established themselves as significant players in collegiate sports.  With unmatched pride, SU student athletes have truly lived up to their reputable status.

In order for our teams to stay competitive and continue their longstanding tradition of excellence, we need to offer an increased number of athletic scholarships.

Why Your Support Is Important

Support from SU alumni and friends is vital in maintaining the University’s athletic opportunities.                                             

Currently, we are only able to award athletes with a fraction of the number of scholarships permitted by NCAA at the Division II level, and students are forced to share the scholarship support that is available.  Without adequate scholarship support, it is difficult to recruit star athletes to SU.  The dollars available for scholarships correlate strongly with the success of the athletic program.  That is why your private contributions are essential—they make a direct impact on the success of our teams!
