Senior Class Challenge 2008

What is the Senior Class Gift?

The Senior Class Gift is your opportunity to give back to Shippensburg University and show that you realize how important it is to support SU. For many years, graduating seniors have given thousands of dollars in support to the senior challenge. These students have left a legacy of excellent programming and resources for future SU students—including you.

Why should I participate in the Senior Class Gift?
If you believe that
your experience at SHIP has and will continue to have a positive impact upon your life and if you want to make sure that future students have the same great experience, then you can do so by participating in your Senior Class Gift.

How much should I give?
Every senior is being asked to give $20.08, in honor of your graduation year, to this year’s campaign. While the majority of gifts will be at this level, we often receive gifts of $50 and even $100. Any amount helps
your university. A gift of $20.08 or more will allow you to leave a message to your friends and family in both the May and December commencement programs. We want our seniors to participate at any level that is comfortable for them.

Why does my participation matter?

Your contribution obviously benefits the students who follow you. In addition, your support impacts SU’s national rankings. These rankings are partially based on the rate of alumni support. These rankings add value to your degree. Your gift will also help the Class of 2008 leave their mark on SU Forever!

What is our goal?

Our goal this year is to raise $2,500 and have 15% of the 2008 senior class to participate in the challenge.

 Think about it….

A minimum gift of $20.08 is less than….

             *a night out at the bars;

             *a new SHIP sweatshirt; or

             *a textbook at the University Store.

 You can save $1.00 a day for 20 days OR you can save $2.00 a day for 10 days OR you can put your gift on your credit card and worry about it later!
