Exploring History: Virginia and the Outer Banks
Saturday, October 14 through Wednesday, October 18, 2017
On Saturday, after a tour, tasting, and lunch at the New Kent Winery, we travel to Colonial Williamsburg, VA, for the afternoon with dinner at the Williamsburg Inn. The following morning will include a short visit to Jamestown en route to the Norfolk Naval Yard to visit the NAUTICUS Maritime Center and enjoy a narrated boat tour of the Naval Yard including a tour of Battleship Wisconsin. The next two days will be spent exploring the history and coast line of the Outer Banks, NC, going south to the island of Ocracoke and north to Corolla. On the journey home, we will stop by the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, VA. Accommodations: One night at the Williamsburg Lodge, a Marriott Autograph Collection boutique hotel, and three nights at the Sanderling Resort and Spa. Activities may be subject to change.
