Message from the Dean:
The John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University has developed an excellent reputation for providing a high-quality and affordable educational experience.  We have a highly qualified faculty who is connected to the business community through applied research, service, and by engaging students in scholarship and internship activities.  The John L. Grove College of Business through the Small Business Development Center and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center provides critical services necessary for economic growth and development in addition to providing students the opportunity for experiential learning.  We are committed to providing business students with the skills necessary to succeed in a very competitive global environment. 

During the past several years, we have expanded our programming, particularly at the MBA level, to meet the educational needs throughout our service region. In all of our programs, we strive for excellence and have an outstanding track record to prove it: 30 years of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) accreditation, 40 years as a College of Business, and 75 years of teaching business in South Central Pennsylvania.

However, in an era of declining public support and rising costs, the financial support from alumni, friends, and businesses, are critical in sustaining our high quality business programs.  You are encouraged to invest in the students and faculty of Shippensburg University’s John L. About the College
The John L. Grove College of Business, established in 1971, is one of the premier business schools in the Mid-Atlantic Region. It was the first university in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to become accredited by AACSB International in 1981 - - making it, at that time, only the ninth school to become accredited in Pennsylvania. Today, the number of AACSB International accredited schools has grown to 24 in Pennsylvania and to over 640 worldwide. In addition, we are also ranked among the top business schools in the world by U.S. News & World Report 2011 edition.

The College of Business focuses on preparing its graduates for successful careers in a technologically advanced and global business environment. Students learn from professional faculty in a facility designed for a 21st century education, and they engage in real world internship, research, and portfolio management opportunities.
