Are you a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, efficient, and operating at their best? The Shippensburg University Foundation is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across a diverse portfolio of student housing, office space, and conference facilities, and leased properties. Because this role includes after-hours response when needed, candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the SU Foundation.

Salary: $50,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and coordinate routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building system issues
- Determine when work should be completed internally or outsourced
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors to ensure quality and cost-effective service
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify repair needs
- Assist with student housing unit inspections, turnovers, and damage assessments
- Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety codes and inspections
- Provide daily guidance to maintenance staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5+ years of building or facilities maintenance experience
- Must live within 25 miles of Shippensburg, PA
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Proven troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience working with outside contractors
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of a background check required
Preferred:
- Trade certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field
- Experience in residential or multi-property maintenance
- Prior supervisory experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Availability for after-hours and emergency calls when needed
