Providing the foundations for success on your terms
Message from the Dean:
The Shippensburg University College of Arts & Sciences is the largest and most academically diverse of the three colleges at Shippensburg University offering programs in the arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, physical and natural sciences, interdisciplinary studies, and most recently engineering. The College of Arts & Sciences has 19 undergraduate departments and programs, nine graduate programs, a degree completion program and offers a variety of certificates. We are also affiliated with the Center for Land Use and Sustainability [CLUS] based in the Geography-Earth Science Department and the Broadside Center based in the School of Engineering. As the home of the general education program, we provide the “foundational education” upon which students can prepare for “success” any way they define it. “Take aways” from a liberal arts education such as quantitative and critical reasoning, clarity of communication, creativity and appreciation of global and diverse perspectives distinguish our graduates in today’s competitive and constantly shifting marketplace. Learn more about the College of Arts & Sciences.
Your gifts to the SU Foundation in support of the College of Arts & Sciences help us fulfill our goal to give all students the tools they need to lead meaningful and successful professional and personal lives.
