Volunteers are an integral part of campus life and programs within the SU Foundation. Whether an alumnus, parent or friend, loyal and dedicated volunteers provide advice, support, guidance, and hands-on assistance with different projects. Whatever your experience or field of interest, there are always opportunities for you to help.

ANNUAL FUND

Business and Industry Campaign
Through the Business and Industry Campaign, volunteers from businesses in the region assist with our solicitation efforts by contacting businesses in their area to ask those companies to make a gift to the Annual Fund.

Campus Campaign
Through the Campus Campaign, volunteers from the University community assist with our solicitation efforts by contacting colleagues in their area of the campus to ask them to make a gift to the Annual Fund.

Lady Raiders Golf Tournament
Each June, the Lady Raiders Golf Tournament raises scholarship dollars for the benefit of the women’s athletic programs at the University.  Volunteers are needed to assist at the tournament with registration, working one of the course holes, assisting with various contests at the tournament, etc.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP

Mailings:
The SU Foundation relies on heavily on volunteers to help with mailings for the Annual Fund, events,  filing and other special projects throughout the year. Skills needed: Ability to have fun, joke around with other alumni and friends while stuffing envelopes.  No envelope licking required.

Thankathon:
During our spring Thankathon,  volunteers call donors to personally thank them for their support of the SU Foundation.  Skills needed: Ability to say THANK YOU with a big smile!

Class Reunion Committees: 
As classes approach their 35th, 40th, 45th, and 50th  Reunion, committee members assist the SU Foundation with fundraising efforts for their Class Reunion Gift project.  Prerequisite:  A Shippensburg University diploma and a trip down memory lane!

Data Entry:
Throughout the year we need volunteers to input data for the Annual Fund and donor records. Skills needed: Excellent typing skills – with two fingers or all ten.

We treasure our volunteers – they are a precious commodity.
